DAY PARKING: Available from 8 am to 3 am daily for a fee. No camping in the day lot!
WEATHER: As the event occurs on the beach, plan for all types of weather, including warm days and cold nights. The event is Rain or Shine – No Refunds!
ANIMALS: Registered service animals only
FOOD & BEVERAGE: Options will be greatly expanded with respect to range of choice and pricing. Vendors and prices will be released well before showtime.
WATER / ICE: Expanded availability of both to all attendees in 2023.

PASSES

There are both VIP PRIMO and General Admission passes available on Eventbrite.comIf planning on camping on-site you will also need to purchase a Camping or RV pass. Camping/RV passes are per vehicle – not per person. Phone orders are not available. Each attendee must have a wristband (see below), and each vehicle must have a camping pass.

PAYMENT PLANS: Payment plans are available – upon checking out, you will have the option of using PAYPAL’s “Pay Later” plan that is available for orders under $1,500. It allows for four (equal) bi-weekly payments and does not charge interest.

CHILD PASSES: Passes for children under age 13 are FREE and available at www.skullandroses.com. This pass must be ordered along with an adult pass. Only (2) child passes are available per (1) adult pass. Child wristbands must be picked up at the Box Office with a Valid Photo ID. Child wristbands will not be shipped.

YOUTH PASSES: Youth passes for ages 13-17 are available at www.skullandroses.com. Confirmation of age will be required upon entry. Youth wristbands must be picked up at the Box Office with a Valid Photo ID. Youth wristbands will not be shipped.

WRISTBANDS: We will be using RFID-enabled wristbands to enhance your event experience. Your wristband serves as your pass to enter and exit the Festival Area quickly – with just a tap of your wristband. For those who purchase passes before March 21, 2023, you will receive your wristbands and camping decals in the mail by April 10, 2023. As each order is fulfilled, an email will be sent with your USPS Tracking Number.

CAMPING AND LODGING

ON-SITE CAMPING: This is authentic Grateful Dead parking lot dry camping. No frills, but there are restrooms and handwashing stations available throughout the campground.

CAMPING ZONES: We have refined the campground zones to ensure that Sober and Family areas are properly separated from the General camping areas. Also new are a VERY LIMITED amount of VIP RV spots on grass with electrical hookups. (See map)

FOOD & BEVERAGE: Campers may bring outside food and beverage to their campsites but are not allowed to bring such items into the Arena. Campers may prepare food at their campsites on propane camping stoves only. Open fires of any kind are strictly prohibited!

On-site food options will be expanded this year and will be available to all attendees during most festival hours. Vendors and pricing will be released well before showtime.

ALCOHOL: Outside alcohol permitted in designated campground areas only and is prohibited inside the Arena. Alcohol will be for sale inside the Arena during festival hours. The venue will be monitoring this closely.

LOAD-IN / OUT:

WED 4/19: 8 am – 9 pm
THU 4/20: 8 am – 9 pm
FRI 4/21: 8 am – 9 pm
SAT 4/22: 8 am – NOON – No Camping entry after NOON on Sat.
SUN 4/23: No Camping Entry

EXIT: All campers and vehicles must exit campground by NOON on Monday, April 24th

**If you want to camp next to your friends, you must arrive together. Make a plan and get in line together! There will be a limited amount of mixed-use spots (RV and car camping). No spots will be saved for late arrivals.

NO INs and OUTs: Once a camping vehicle enters, it shall remain in place until time of departure from the festival, whenever that may be. Exited vehicles will not be readmitted to the campground.

VENDING INFO

Shakedown operations have been highly refined for 2023. Availability has been reduced, and spaces will initially be made available to previous vendors on a first-come, first-serve basis. A separate email will be sent to 2022 vendors containing information needed to secure a spot. Interested first-time vendors should email info@skullandroses.com to be added to the wait list.

FAQ – FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Can I volunteer?: There are no volunteer positions available for SKULL & ROSES V. All positions are covered by in-house staff. For those in need of financial support, we have instituted a payment plan through EventBrite and Paypal. See details above.

Is the 4-Day Pass + Bonus Day five separate passes? NO. The Festival Pass is a single electronic wristband that is worn for the entire event and covers all activity from Wednesday thru Sunday.
