Camping Information:

Authentic GRATEFUL DEAD Parking Lot Camping – Dirt and Asphalt.  No Frills.

FACILITIES:  There are Clean, Built-in Real Toilets near the Arena that are open 9AM to Midnight Daily. No showers. Clean Portable Restrooms, Washing Stations, and Water Refill Stations will be readily available and maintained diligently throughout the festival.  Water refill stations available through the venue. The Pacific Ocean is easily accessible right outside of the campground and there are public sand showers on the beach.  Legendary California surf spot – Surfer’s Point – is adjacent to the show, as well.  The live music is audible from the waves.

WEATHER: As SKULL & ROSES occurs AT the beach, plan for every type of inclement weather known to man – Cold, Rain, Snow, Wind, Dust, Dirt, Rocks, Mud, Sand, Fog, Mist, Hail, Dew and anything else that may cross our path on the Golden Road to GRATEFUL DEAD Glory.  Musical Performances are Rain or Shine!  Expect beautiful days with very cool nights and, though not likely, always be prepared for occasional showers.  It’s always windy in Ventura so be sure tents, canopies, etc. are securely tied and/or weighed down and plan to dress warmly in the evenings.

::: If you wish to camp next to your friends, you must arrive at the exact same time, and be in line next to each other when you reach the entry gate.  There will be no saving of spots once entering. :::

CAMPING RULES: All Campers Agree To The Following:

GOOD NEIGHBOR POLICY: Campers agree to practice a ‘Good Neighbor’ policy throughout their stay, especially with regards to noise, overcrowding, and trash.

NO INS-AND-OUTS:  Once a camping vehicle is placed it shall remain in place until time of departure from the festival.  If a camping vehicle leaves the premises, it will not be allowed back into the campground under any circumstances.  Plan Accordingly.

FOOD & BEVERAGE: Campers can bring in your food and beverage but you are not permitted to bring things into the music area.  Food and alcohol options will be available inside the Arena. Campers may bring and prepare food at their campsites on PROPANE CAMPING STOVES ONLY. Open Fire is Strictly Prohibited!!! NO: BBQs, Hibachis, Charcoal, Campfires, Tiki Torches, or Open Flame of any kind

ALCOHOL:  Outside Alcohol is technically prohibited but campers can possess outside alcohol at their campsites and in the campground.  No food or beverage can be carried from the campground to the concert area, however. This will be very strictly enforced.

CONCERT AREA ENTRANCE:  Camper food & beverages are NOT allowed to travel from the campground into the concert area.  This is the primary problem we face with the Venue as it violates numerous conditions of their food & beverage licensing.  The barrier between the two areas will be much more pronounced and this rule strictly enforced.  Please plan accordingly.  Site maps will be released when they become available, and will explain these areas more specifically.

ALLOWED AT CAMPSITE BUT NOT IN CONCERT AREA:  Food, Alcohol, Backpacks, Ice Chests, Coolers, Tents, E-Z Ups, Canopies
